---Teske, Orval G. (14 Nov. 1920 – 15 Oct. 2005)

Orval G. Teske, 84, of Merrill, died Saturday, October 15, 2005, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.

Born in the town of Berlin on November 14, 1920, Orval was the son of the late Robert and Irene Kufahl Teske. He married Margaret Schiller on November 3, 1945, in the town of Schley. She survives.

Orval had been a dairy farmer in the towns of Berlin and Merrill. He also worked at Fromm Brothers and for 34 years at Merrill Manufacturing. Orval enjoyed classical music, word search books, and singing. He sang with the Senior Singers in Merrill for five years, and also sang in the Trinity Lutheran Evangelical Church choir in the town of Berlin for many years. Orval will be greatly missed by his loving family.

Survivors include his wife Marge, Merrill; daughters Karen (Steve) Hawley, Antigo; and Gina Bowen, Elkhorn; and son Ryan, Merrill. Also surviving are sisters Florence Rehwinkel, Merrill; and Irene (Wilfred) Lueck, Wauwatosa; brother Rev. Melvin (Florence), Yakima Valley, Wash.; sisters and brothers-in-law Clara and All Schenk, Merrill; and Edna and Bob Ranum, Westfield; sisters-in-law Arlene Teske and Doris Teske, both of Hamburg; and Loretta Coyle, Neenah; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Robert, LeRoy, James and Lavern.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 22, 2 p.m. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. Jeffrey Martinson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from noon un til the hour of services. The Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, served the family.
