Lena Olson, 95, of Tomahawk, formerly of Sayner, died peacefully Saturday, October 15, 2005, at her home, surrounded by family.

Lena was born April 21, 1910, in Merrill to the late Joseph and Christina Rothmeyer. She married Thomas “Tommy” Olson. He preceded her in death in 1968.

Lena was a resident of Tomahawk since 2000. Survivors include her daughters Marjorie O’Brien, Elizabeth, N. J.; and Ruthann (Robert) Dorn, Lake Delton; son Edward “Harold”, Irma; 24 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and sister-in-law Stella Rothmeyer, Merrill. She was preceded in death by her husband Tommy; children Nancy, Joe, Violet, and Bill; infant grandchild Todd; brothers Elmer, and Reuben and sisters Laura, Edna, Adelia and Hattie.

Funeral services were Wednesday, October 19, at Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church, Sayner. Rev. Mary Weinkauf officiated. Burial was in Plum Lake Cemetery. The Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home, Eagle River, handled the arrangements. Memorials requested to Ministry Home Care Hospice Services, Rhinelander.
