---Bennish, Delmar D. (14 Apr. 1941 – 11 Nov. 2003)

Delmar D. Bennish, 62, of Gleason, passed away at the University of Madison Hospital. He was surrounded by his wife and children as he entered his eternal home on November 11, 2003.

Delmar was born in Rhinelander on April 14, 1941. He was the son of Anzelum and Loretta Bennish. He attended school at Parish and Rhinelander.

Delmar married Sandra Turner on May 5, 1965. As the result of their love, they were blessed with two children, daughter Lolita (Bunny) Stein and son Bo Bennish, both of Gleason. He also had two grandchildren, Kyle Stein who adored his “Grandpa” and was constant companion, and granddaughter Alexis Bennish, Merrill. Also surviving is a brother Victor Bennish, nieces and nephews, and his step-dad Clifford Olson.

His hobbies were many: fishing, being outdoors, and he was very involved in local stock car racing. Delmar was happiest spending time with his family. He loved his home and all the pleasures of simple things that nature beings. He always found a world of beauty, as his heart was full of love. He always looked out for the other person, helping so many out, even down to feeding the smallest bird.

At Delmar’s request, there will be only a family get together. We would like to thank all the many friends for their love, support and care at this trying time.

Dad and Grandpa, all the pain and grief are over, Every restless moment passed. You are at Peace, forever, safely home in Heaven at last!
