James Ray Busterud, 27, of Merrill, died Friday, October 8, 2004.

Born in Wausau on June 3, 1977, James was the son of Robert and Brenda Boyd Busterud.

Jim was a 1995 graduate of Merrill Senior High School. He was self employed mechanic. Jim was an avid Minnesota Vikings Fan. He enjoyed working on old cars, and loved listening to music. Jim loved his family, especially his children. He’ll be remembered as a man of his own style.

Survivors include his daughters Anna Jo Busterud and Destiny Rose Busterud, both of Wausau; son Damion Michael Seliger, Merrill; his father Robert Busterud and his mother Brenda Busterud, both of Merrill; sister Brandi Busterud, Wausau; brother Timothy, Merrill; maternal grandparents Lloyd and Marilyn Boyd and paternal grandparents James and Angie Busterud, all of Merrill; niece Brielle DuFour, Wausau; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by two uncles.

Funeral services were Tuesday, October 12, at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. William Hohman officiated. Burial was in the Gleason Cemetery, town of Russell.
