Georgene Krembs, 60, of Merrill, died Saturday, October 23, 2004, at 1604 E. 9th St., Merrill.

Born in Merrill on January 8, 1944, Georgene was the daughter of the late George and Mary Walker Jankowsky. She married Maximus Krembs on February 9, 1963, Merrill. He preceded her in death on January 24, 1994.

Georgene was a 1962 graduate of Merrill Senior High School. She was a homemaker and had worked outside the home at various jobs, most recently at Church Mutual Insurance Company in Merrill. She was a member of the Altar Guild and the Adult Choir. Georgene was a collector of angels, John Wayne memorabilia, Green Bay Packers collectibles and Beanie Babies. She enjoyed golfing and working in her yard. Georgene was an 11 year survivor of cancer.

Surviving are her sons Michael, Merrill; and daughters Rebecca Parfait, Center, Texas; and Kelly (Gary) Hutchinson, Merrill; grandsons David Krembs, Merrill, and Shon Parfait, Center, Texas. She is further survived by her brother Joe Jankowsky, Merrill; sisters Connie (Edward) DuFrame and Mary Ann DuFrame, both of Merrill, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Monday, October 25, at Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, with the Rev. David Klemm officiating. Burial is in the Snow Hill Cemetery, town of Scott. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations given to Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Altar Guild, the Adult Choir or the American Cancer Society.
