Thomas William “Bill” Caylor, 69, of Merrill, died Monday, December13, 2004, at his home under the care of his family and Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 18, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Merrill. Rev. James Horaths will officiate. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park with graveside military rites conducted by VFW Post 1638, Merrill. Visitation at the Taylor and Stine Funeral Home in Merrill 4-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday.

Thomas William “Bill” Caylor, 69, of 207 Lake St., Merrill, died Monday, December 13, 2004, at his home under the care of his family and Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Bill was born August 28, 1935, in Ashland, son of the late C. L. “Bud” and Jean Walsh Caylor. He married Darlene Zoellner on January 28, 1961, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Merrill. She survives.

Bill was part owner of Caylor’s Corners in Merrill. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1954, and was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany, as a military police for two years. After returning home, Bill served in the Wisconsin National Guard. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Merrill. Bill was also a member of the Wisconsin Trappers Association, Merrill Historical Society, National Rifle Association and Lincoln County Sportsman’s club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his cabin in Rock Falls.

Survivors besides his wife Darlene include his daughter Leah (Brian) Henkelman, Irma; sons Pat (fiancée Loretta Walsh), Boston, Mass.; and Tom (Barb), Mountain View, Calif.; and grandchildren Mitchell, Lexy and Alli Henkelman and Christopher and Sarah Caylor. Also surviving are sisters Kathryn Sensenbrenner, Madison; and Mary (Eldfred) Kufahl and Margaret (Myron) Oestreich, both of Merrill, and brothers Peter (Colleen), Fairfax Station, Va.; and Michael (Kathleen) and Daniel (Carol), both of Merrill.

Funeral services were Saturday, December 18, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Merrill. Rev. James Horath officiated. Burial was in Merrill Memorial Park with graveside military rites conducted by VFW Post 1638, Merrill. The Taylor and Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, served the family.
