Joyce D. Mills, 75, formerly of the town of Pine River, died Thursday, December 9, 2004, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Tampa, Fla., under the care of her family and hospice.

Joyce was born September 5, 1929, daughter of the late Oscar and Helena Voege Schultz. She had been a dietician for hospitals in the southwestern United States and also in Panama. Joyce was dedicated to her career. She enjoyed reading and playing the harp.

Survivors include her son Brett (Stefany) Mills, Tampa, Fla.; and granddaughters Lilly and Abby. Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter Dawn and brother Wayne Schultz.

Memorial services were Monday, December 20, at Christ United Methodist Church, Merrill. Rev. Carolyn Saunders officiated. Private burial of Joyce’s cremated remains took place Tuesday in Merrill Memorial Park. The Taylor and Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, assisted the family with local arrangements.
