Vernon O. 'Red' Woller

Vernon O. "Red" Woller, 75, of Merrill died Saturday, March 6, 2004, at his residence under the care of his wife and Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

He was born Aug. 26, 1928, in Merrill, son of the late Theodore and Adeline (Bahlow) Woller. He married Margy Degner May 27, 1948, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill.

He worked for Merrill Manufacturing for 43 years until his retirement in 1991. He enjoyed fishing, gambling, snowmobiling, his dog, Rocky, and his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his wife and four children, grandchildren, his great-grandchildren and the children he baby-sat for the last 10 years.

Survivors include his wife, Margy Woller of Merrill; four children, Karen (Peter) Housum of Fremont, John (Sharon) Woller of Merrill, Linda (Mark) Winger of Hazelhurst, and Scott (Nancy) Woller of Merrill; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Lawrence (Leona) Woller, Ted (Violet) Woller, Duane Woller and Jerry Woller, all of Merrill; three sisters, Berdean July, Mary Ann Schaper and Florence Woller, all of Merrill; and a special friend, Amy Brunner of Tomahawk. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Troy; and one great-grandson, Joseph.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be at a later date.

Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, assisted the family with arrangements.
