Marie A. Stamborski Marie A. Stamborski, age 92 of Oshkosh, passed away Friday, November 4, 2005 at Park View Health Center - Pleasant Acres. On April 28, 1913 she was born in Merrill, WI, the daughter of Ernest W. and Bertha (Wagner) Binner. Marie was married to Ralph L. Stamborski on October 22, 1935 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on December 29, 1961. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was an honorary member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women, Order of St. Francis and the Golden Agers.

Survivors include two daughters: Rita M. Gear and Joan (Jerry) Wetterau both of Oshkosh; four grandchildren: James (Sheryl) Gear of Kent, WA, Daniel (Lisa) Gear of Rosemond, CA, Debbie (Dave) Ruhl and Jeff (Traci) Wetterau both of Oshkosh; six great-grandchildren: Todd and Brandon Gear of Rosemond, CA, Aaron Gear of Kent, WA, Jacob Ruhl, Kaylie and Kristin Wetterau all of Oshkosh and a seventh great-grandchild to arrive in March, 2006, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Marie was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Edward, Ernest and Carl and a great-granddaughter: Hollie Carlene Ruhl. Marie will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren – ‘the little ones.’

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 442 Monroe, Oshkosh, with Rev. Fr. William Van De Kreeke as celebrant with Sister Judy Miller assisting. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the church.

Marie’s long journey has ended here on earth and now she has stepped into Heaven with our Heavenly Father.

The family wishes to thank Pleasant Acres for their loving and devoted care given to Marie for the past four and a half years. A very special thank you to the staff on 2nd floor for the wonderful care and compassion given to Mom and her family. May God Bless You All.
