Henry Baehman, blacksmith, Merrill, was born in Prussia, Nov. 1, 1874. He first settled in Granville, Milwaukee Co., in 1866, where he lived about one year, then he moved to Milwaukee, in 1867, and to Prairie du Chien in 1868, and to St. Paul, soon after, and went into the pine woods, running a blacksmith shop. He remained there one winter then he went to Minneapolis. He returned to Milwaukee; was there a short time and went to Weyauwega, from there he went to Wausau, and came to Merrill in fall, 1874. He was married in town of Berlin, Marathon Co., October,, 1873, to Lena Ninow, who was born in Prussia, August 17, 1853. They have four children – Martha, Edward, Otto and Henry, Jr.
