Allen, Marjorie E.

 

Marjorie E. Allen, 77, Green Bay, passed away Oct. 8, 2005, at her home after a lengthy illness. Born on Oct. 3, 1928, in Tomahawk, Wis., as one of 15 children, she is the daughter of the late Claude and Jeannettie (Hare) Shidler. Marge graduated from Tomahawk High School. She married Dale E. Wenzlick on April 15, 1948, in Merrill, Wis. They were married nearly 21 years until his death on Jan. 7, 1969. Marge later married Charles Allen on Oct. 6, 1971. She worked for many years at Bradley Bank in Tomahawk. In 1979, the couple retired to Largo, Fla. Marge and Chuck were married for 23 years until his death on Nov. 24, 1994. In December of 2000, Marge moved to Green Bay to be near her family. She enjoyed her final years with her many friends at Monroe Plaza.

 

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Allyson Wenzlick, Green Bay; three grandchildren, Jennifer, San Diego, Calif.; Anne, a student at UW-Madison; and Ryan, Green Bay; stepdaughter, Kay Allen, Grafton, Wis.; three step-grandchildren, Kert Dietrich, Menasha; Keri Dietrich, Grafton; Jamie Klapat, Thiensville, Wis.; five step-great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; two spouses; nine brothers and sisters.

 

Visitation at West Mason Malcore Funeral Home, 1530 W. Mason St., Friday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral service 3:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Johnsen officiating. Marge will be laid to rest with her first husband, Dale, in Tomahawk. A memorial service will be held at a future date at Monroe Plaza.

 

Marge’s family extends a very special thank you to the caring and loving staff and friends at Monroe Plaza.
