Robert Samuel Koile

Robert Samuel Koile, age 82, of P.O. Box 285, Tuscarawas, O., died at 9:55 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2005, in Schoenbrunn Healthcare at New Philadelphia, O., following a brief illness.

He was born April 29, 1923, in Merrill, Wis., to the late Ross Everett Koile and Velma Hinds.

He is survived by three sons, Robert K. Koile and wife Brenda of Port Washington, Max A. Koile and wife Rene of Uhrichsville and Gary L. Koile and wife Becky of New Philadelphia; a daughter, Linda M. Koile of Kinston, N.C.; six grandchildren, Andy Koile and wife Wendy, Lisa Koile, Amanda Poole and husband James, Jennifer Langham and husband Adam, Elizabeth Gray and husband Jason, and Brandolynn Koile; nine great-grandchildren, Emma, McKenna, Dakota, Michaela, Conner, Roman, Shanna, Daniel, Blake and two more expected; previous spouse, Beverly Joan Jones Koile of Uhrichsville; a brother, Carlton Koile and wife Betty of Nixa, Mo.; four sisters, Ruth Stewart of Stanley, Wis., Opal Hyatt of Reed Spring, Mo., Ellen Krava of San Diego, Calif., and Judy Miracle and husband Richard of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ross Everett Koile; his mother, Velma Hinds Koile; and sisters Dora Crass and Ila Jean Koile.

He was an area resident since 1964 and was formerly of Wisconsin. He was a member of the Uhrichsville Moose Lodge and the Uhrichsville Eagles who also enjoyed working on models and quilts.

Robert served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. Robert retired from Superior Clay and had previously been a self-employed truck driver.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005, in the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison, O., with Rev. Harry Milligan officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville, O. Visiting hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005, at R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home.
