1934-2003

Pearl Hilbrand, a 30-year resident of Cottage Grove, died Nov. 10, 2003, at the age of 69 from cancer.

She was born on Jan. 24, 1934, to Hal and Marie Reed in Brantwood, Wis. She graduated from Tomahawk High School in Wisconsin. She grew up and lived many years in the Midwest before moving to Cottage Grove in 1973.

She married Clarence Hilbrand on June 28, 1952, in Tomahawk, Wis. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper.

She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed games and puzzles.

She was a member of South Lane Christian Center.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Sue Hilbrand of Brantwood, Wis., and Dennis and Elizabeth Hilbrand of Black Mountain, N.C.; daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Kelly Kraft of Irrigon, Dawn and Alan Jones of Woodburn, Donna and John Lamb of Dunedin, Fla., And Debbie and Mark Phillips of Cottage Grove; son, Dale Hilbrand of Cottage Grove; brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert and Lina Reed of Tomahawk, Wis., and David and Judy Reed of Zolfo Springs, Fla.; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Paul Pearson of San Jose, Calif.; and grandchildren, James, William, Rachael, Philip and Anne.

A visitation was held Nov. 16 and a service Nov. 17 at South Lane Christian Center in Cottage Grove. A private interment was at Fir Grove Cemetery.

Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions can be made to South Lane Christian Center, 77820 Mosby Creek Road, Cottage Grove, OR 97424.
