Lois Hulke

MERRILL -- Lois C. Hulke, 77, of Merrill, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, under Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, after a courageous battle with Lou Gehrig's disease.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Lois was born Nov. 29, 1928, in Merrill, daughter of James and Doris (Zimmermann) Daly. She was married to Darrell O. Hulke on Oct. 5, 1946, in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1981. Lois was a homemaker.

Survivors include four daughters, Doris (Phillip) Neubauer of Merrill, Sherrill (Walter) Baumann of Wausau, Connie (Dale) Ecklund of Wausau, and Brenda (Jeff) Larson of Eden Prairie, Minn.; one son, Pete (Maureen) Hulke of Hewitt; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
