Merrill News: -- Mrs. Josephine Brassard, wife of Wm. Brassard, passed away at her home on Second Street yesterday morning at 9:20 o’clock. The end came quietly, and at the bedside of the lady was the family and other relatives when she passed away. Mrs. Brassard has been ailing all winter with a complication of diseases, and for the last three weeks she has been in bed with her sickness gradually weakening her until she was unable to wish stand it, despite the fact that all was done in a medical way for her so that she could regain her former strength. Deceased, whose maiden name was Josephine Chartier was born in Rudolph, Wis., May 12th, 1862, and was nearly forty-five years of age. For the past twenty-six years she has lived in Merrill. In the year 1886 on the 9th day of August she was united in marriage to Wm. Brassard. Besides her husband, she leaves seven children: Lottie, Edwin, Henry, Joseph, Louisa, Jeanette and Elizabeth to mourn her death. She also leaves six brother and two sisters to survive her.

Last Thursday the news came of the death of Mrs. Brassard of Merrill. She is a sister of Moses, Jos. And Bat Sharkey of this place. Mrs. Brassard had many acquaintances in Rudolph who sympathize with the bereaved family.
