Lester M. Kleinschmidt, 65, Merrill, died February 2, 2004 at Wausau Hospital Inc.

He was born December 28, 1938 in Merrill, Wisconsin to Alvin and Esther (Griggel) Kleinschmidt. He married Jeanette Neumann on July 4, 1964 in Merrill. She died on October 26, 1994.

Lester had worked at Northern Specialty for many years and presently at Hurd Millwork. He was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed riding around on his moped.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen Kleinschmidt, Wausau, and six brothers, Donald (Ruth) Kleinschmidt, Merrill, Gilbert (Rose) Kleinschmidt, Merrill, David (Judy) Kleinschmidt, Merrill, Milton (Trudy) Kleinschmidt, Merrill, Butch (Georgia) Kleinschmidt, Merrill, and Fred (Dawn) Kleinschmidt, Merrill. Lester was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and one brother.

Services were held on February 4, 2004 at the Waid Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ted Gulhaugen officiated with burial in the Snow Hill Cemetery, Town of Scott. The Waid Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
