Ricarda Kleinschmidt

Richarda A. 'Rickey' Kleinschmidt, 64, 605 Lake St., Merrill, died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Rickey worked in hotel management at the Wausau Holiday Inn and also had worked at the Playboy Club in Lake Geneva.

Survivors include her aunt, Eleanor (Kleinschmidt) Langhoff of Eugene, Ore.; special friend, Pat Flynn of Merrill; and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 2:30 p.m. Friday at the church.

The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to Saint Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care in Marshfield, or St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill.

Ricarda Kleinschmidt

Ricarda M. "Rickey" Kleinschmidt, 64, of 605 Lake St., Merrill, died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Rickey was born April 26, 1942, in Lincoln County, daughter of the late Albert E. and Arline H. (Latzig) Kleinschmidt. She had worked in hotel management at the Wausau Holiday Inn. Rickey had also worked at the Playboy Club in Lake Geneva. Rickey had personal friendships with Bob Hope, Kris Kristofferson and other notables. She enjoyed entertaining, cooking and gardening. She loved her dogs and her home.

Rickey is survived by her aunt, Eleanor (Kleinschmidt) Langhoff of Eugene, Ore.; many cousins, including her very close cousin, Phyllis "Phi;" and her special friend, Pat Flynn of Merrill. Rickey was preceded in death by her parents and many other people she loved, such as her neighbors.

The memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2006, at St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. Alden J. Beversdorf will officiate. Burial will take place in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 2:30 p.m. Friday at the church.
