Esther Raasch

Esther B. Raasch, 99, Merrill, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Nancy Streich, Merrill; one grandson; four sisters, Viola Lehrabaummer, West Bend, Adelia Kottke and Vernette Fabiszewski, both of Merrill, and Helen Kleinschmidt, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church, Town of Maine. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Esther B. Raasch

Esther B. Raasch, 99, Merrill died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.

Esther was born May 6, 1904, in the town of Corning, daughter of the late Hermand and Anna (Krueger) Kleinschmidt. She married Herman Raasch Oct. 28, 1926, at St. John's Lutheran Church in the town of Hamburg. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1981.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards and crocheting.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law Nancy Streich, Merrill; a grandson, Daniel Raasch, Broodfield; four sisters, Viola Lehrabaummer of West Bend, Adelia Kottke and Vernetta Fabiszewski, both of Merrill, and Helen Kleinschmidt of Wausau; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two sons, Elgart and Kurt Raasch; two brothers, Ben and Kurt Kleinschmidt; and one sister, Ila Schmidt.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at Faith Lutheran Church, town of Maine. The Rev. Donald C. Schulz will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, and from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the church.
