Erna Schmidt, 99, Merrill, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.

She farmed with her late husband Clarence in the town of Corning.

Survivors include two sons, Warren (Marlene) Schmidt and Kenneth (Carla) Schmidt, all of Merrill; one daughter, Marie (Pat) McCarty, Ottawa, Ill.; one brother, Otto (Marge) Oestreich, Merrill; one sister, Esther Biggs, Merrill; five sisters-in-law, Ethel Oestreich, Leona Oestreich, Edna Zuelsdorf, all of Merrill, Grace Oestreich, Mosinee, and Elviria Schmidt, Wausau; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, town of Corning. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, and will begin again at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.
