Albert Shaker

Albert "Al" Shaker, 61, W2072 Vascheau Road, Gleason, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 1998 at his home.

He was born May 25, 1937, in Vernon County, son of the late Glenn and Evelyn (McCoy) Shaker. He was united in marriage first to Carole Johnson, then to Marge Kahler.

Mr. Shaker graguated from Hillsboro Highs School in 1955. He lived in Waukegan, IL, prior to moving to Gleason in 1968.

He was employed in auto sales and for the Milwaukee Road Railway prior to a disability retirement. He enjoyed his hobby farm, hunting in the Gleason area, antique trucks and farm tractors.

He is survived by three sons, Kent Shaker, Cokato, Minn; Keith (Suzanne)Shaker, Thousand Oaks, Cal; Matthew Shaker, Stevens Point; one daughter Anne (Greg) Kleinschmidt, Antigo; two sisters, Elizabeth (Jerry) Tryban, Kenosha, and Virginia (Dennis) Keith, Minocqua; and four granchildren; Adam, Keith, Kari, and Kent. In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by one son Douglas.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 29, 1998 at Bradley Funeral Home, Antigo. Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday at Bradley Funeral Home, Antigo. Interment will be at Luther Memorial Cemetery, Gleason.
