Magnolia Church to Celebrate its 80th Anniversary
Magnolia - The Advent Christian church at Magnolia, of which the Rev. Alton J.
CROUSE is pastor, will hold its homecoming events Sunday. Services will be held all day.
The church was founded in 1854, according to a history compiled by Mrs. Ernest
CLIFFORD, Evansville. It is now 80 years old.
The old building was remodeled five years ago, and dedicatory services for the
remodeled church were held Nov. 3, 1929. Elder J. R. SINGLETERRY was pastor.
Fifty years ago Elder Jim ROYCE was converted in this church. He died only
recently, on Oct. 24 of this year in Niles, Mich.
