William Arnold was a native of East Jersey. He served in the Virginia militia and was present at the siege of Yorktown. His pension, however, was granted in recognition of serviced in the North West Indian War of 1790. He was wounded in that war at Maume Town. He was living in Grant County, Kentucky in 1820. He died November 18, 1836.
