Casper Beyer, or Boyers, was born on June 17, 1732 near Cannstat, Wurttemberg, Germany. He married Elizabeth Lambert in 1752. She was born in Wurttemberg in 1733. They had a family, all of whom emigrated to this country on the ship Tiger, arriving in the port of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, November 19, 1771, according to American Boyers, 1940. Casper Boyers served in the American Revolution as a lieutenant under Colonel Miller of Pennsylvania, according to Pennsylvania Archives, Volume 5, Fifth Series, pp. 41-42. Elizabeth died in 1780, and Casper died May 23, 1793. Of the eleven children of Casper and Elizabeth Lambert Boyers, four are said to have moved to Kentucky before 1795:
