George William Carlton

George William Carlton, son of Pleasant and Mary Forest Carlton, was born 1832 in Gallatin County, Kentucky and died 1895 in Owen County, Kentucky. He married Malinda Jane Bromley November 8, 1851 in Owen County, daughter of James Bromley and Nancy May. She was born 1834 in Owen County and died 1915 in Owen County, Kentucky. There children were:
1. Robert Anderson Carlton was born December 20, 1852 in Owen County, Kentucky and died March 31, 1924 in Grant County, Kentucky. He married Mrs. Maud Hunter (Bennett) Oder, September 16, 1880 in Owen County, the daughter of Alfonso Bennett and Sarah Osburn. She was born August 2, 1854 in Grant County and died April 11, 1933 in Grant County, Kentucky. They are buried in Vine Run Cemetery, Grant County, Kentucky. Their children were:
(1) Arch Thomas Carlton, born May 4, 1883 in Grant County, Kentucky, died January 13, 1937 in Kenton County, Kentucky. He married Martha Hambrick June 25, 1902 in Kenton County, daughter of William Hambrick and Mary Osborne. She was born 1883 in Grant County, Kentucky and died August 12, 1932 in Kenton County. They are buried in Highland Cemetery, Kenton County, Kentucky.
(2) Fred Anderson Carlton was born October 6, 1884 in Grant County, Kentucky and died February 4, 1960 in Kenton County, Kentucky. He married Eva May Price May 12, 1908, daughter of W. Price and Minnie Childers. She was born August 18, 1892 in Grant County and died October 12, 1913 in Grant County, Kentucky. He married second, Anna Cooper, February 9, 1938 in Kenton County, Kentucky. She died October 17, 1972 in Kenton County. Fred and Anna are buried in Highland Cemetery, Kenton County, Kentucky.
(3) Claude Lewis Carlton was born March 21, 1889 in Grant County, Kentucky and died June 26, 1952 in Kenton County, Kentucky. He married Ethel Myra Stewart January 22, 1909 in Gallatin County, Kentucky. She was born 1893 and died September 29, 1945 in Kenton County, Kentucky. They are buried in Highland Cemetery, Kenton County, Kentucky.
(4) Hallie Mae Carlton was born April 15, 1892 in Grant County, Kentucky and died October 16, 1908 in Grant County. She is buried in Vine Run Cemetery, Grant County, Kentucky.
(5) Sallie Violet Carlton was born March 30, 1896 in Grant County, Kentucky and died October 10, 1964 in Kenton County, Kentucky. She married William Kirtley Green November 2, 1916 in Kenton County, son of Edgar Green and Sarah Beach. He was born November 23, 1889 in Grant County, Kentucky and died September 9, 1974 in Kenton County, Kentucky. Their children were: (a) Willena Mae Green, born January 8, 1919 in Grant County, Kentucky, died May 25, 1967 in Campbell County, Kentucky. She married (1) Howard McKinney and (2) Henry Shafer. Willena is buried in Independence Cemetery, Kenton COunty, Kentucky, (b) Bonneda Faye Green was born March 8, 1920 in Grant County, Kentucky. She married first, David Irvine Sipple, March 7, 1937 in Kenton County, Kentucky, son of Cecil Sipple and Edith Jamison. She married second, Andrew Lepper, September 2, 1945 in Kenton County, Kentucky, (c) Robert Warren Green was born July 30, 1921 in Canton, Lewis County, Missouri and died November 16, 1986 in Kenton County, Kentucky. He married Margaret Louise McKenney, April 6, 1944, in Kenton County, Kentucky. Robert is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Erlanger, Kenton County, Kentucky, (d) Braudis Lee Green was born August 8, 1922 in Canton, Lewis County, Missouri and died October 10, 1943 in Naples, Italy during World War II. He is buried at Independence Cemetery in Kenton County, Kentucky, (e) Edgar Kirtley Green, born October 4, 1923 in Canton, Lewis County, Missouri, died July 19, 1999 in Kenton County, Kentucky, and is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Erlanger, Kenton County, Kentucky. He married Maxine Geneva Morgan, October 23, 1947, in Kenton County. This couple divorced in Kenton County, Kentucky. He married second, Mrs. Louise Cunningham Rose, July 21, 1966 in Kenton County, Kentucky, (f) Anna Delphina Green was born August 8, 1926 in Grant County, Kentucky and died April 8, 1946 in Birmingham, Alabama. She married James Phillips Ford. She is buried in Independence Cemetery, Kenton County, Kentucky, (g) Billy Green was born 1931 in Kenton County, Kentucky and married Velma Bernice Cruey, and (h) Barbara Rae Green, born 1935 in Kenton County, Kentucky, married Thomas Everett Wilson July 21, 1956 in Kenton County, Kentucky, son of Everett Wilson and Frankie "Marie" Weidp. He was born 1932 in East Palestine, Ohio.
2. Mary E. Carlton was born 1854 and died in Aurora, Indiana. She married William Smith who also died in Auora.
3. James Orville Carlton, born 1856, married Harriett Gross.
4. William T. Carlton, born 1861 in Owen County, Kentucky, died May 21, 1928 in Gallatin County, Kentucky. He is buried in Glencoe Cemetery, Gallatin County, Kentucky.
5. John M. Carlton was born 1862 in Owen County, Kentucky and died 1939 in Allenville, Indiana. He married Frankie Jane Brock April 26, 1892 in Owen County, Kentucky. She was born 1867 and died July 7, 1966 in Aurora, Indiana. They are buried in Vevay, Switzerland County, Indiana.
6. George L. Carlton was born November 1, 1865 in owen County, Kentucky and died July 12, 1938 in Gallatin County, Kentucky. He married Eliza A. Hall December 22, 1887 in Owen County. She was born march 17, 1870 in Owen County, Kentucky and died April 10, 1963 in Gallatin County, Kentucky. They are buried in Poplar Grove Cemetery, Owen County, Kentucky.
7. Charles R. Carlton was born 1867 in Owen County, Kentucky and died 1946 in Switzerland County, Indiana. He married Ella Brock May 22, 1892 in Owen County Kentucky. She was born 1877 in Owen County and died in Vevay, Switzerland COunty, Indian. Charles is buried at Vevay, Switzerland County, Indiana.
8. Minnie Carlton was born 1870 in Owen County, Kentucky and died about 1933 in Gallatin County, Kentucky. She is buried in Glencoe Cemetery, Gallatin County, Kentucky.
