William Cook
William Cook was born circa 1788 in Caroline County, Virginia and married in 1812 in Fayette County, Kentucky, Nancy Webster, born 1790-1792. The family appears on the Pendleton County, Kentucky tax list 1817 through 1819. Being a resident of the portion of Pendleton County that became Grant County, Kentucky in 1820, he thereafter appeared on the Grant County tax list where he owned 100 acres on Eagle Creek. They had three children that we have been able to locate:

Samuel, born 1814, died 1862, married April 13, 1836, Campbell County, kentucky,
Elizabeth (Betsy) Lancaster, born February 9, 1817, Kenton County, kentucky,
died September 17, 1890. There children
were:

Frances Cook, born June 11, 1838, died January 16, 1926, Independence, Missouri.
She first married February 9, 1854, James Elrod Tewell and second, Rev. marcus
M. Arnold.

Benjamin H. Cook, born May 8, 1840, died November 3, 1909, buried in
Gardnersville Cemetery, Pendleton County, Kentucky, married Francis M. McNay
and has eleven children.

Kentucky, married circa 1871, Boone County, Kentucky, Matilda Caroline Waters,
born circa August 8, 1849, died May 5, 1882. Their

9, 1946, Grant County, Kentucky, married January 19, 1903, Grant County,
Kentucky, Maude K. McClure, born April 28, 1884, died September 7, 1972,
daughter of Stephen A. Dugliss McClure and Henrietta Sturgeon. They had twelve
children.
