Jump Family Bible
The Bible contains the Old and New Testaments and
also the Apocrypha. It was published in Cincinnati
in 1830 by N. & G. Guilford and Morgan and Sanxay.

Births - Page 1, Column 1

Joseph Jump was born February the 18th 1793.
Sarah Jump was born March the 4th 1793.
Jesse Reece Drury born 1836 June 12th.
Sarah Drury born Dec. 4 1837.
Mary Minerva Drury born Dec 20 1861.
Martha Hannah Drury born 1862 Dec 22.
Parris Milton Drury born July 13 1864.
Ira Noggle Drury born March 7, 1866.
William Edgar Drury born Feb 13 1868.
Ruth Drury Feb 13 1870.
Sarah Jane Drury born Nov. 27, 1872.
Dollie Eliza Drury born Sep. 17, 1874.

Births - Page 1, Column 2

Patsy Jump was born February the ?2th day 1815.
Pollyann Jump was born September the 5th - 1816.
Catharine Jump was born April the 26th - 1818.
Thomas Jump was born March the ? - 1820.
John F. Jump was born October the 13th - 1822.
Joseph Jump was born ? 27th - 1825. (March or May).

Notes: The births of Joseph and Sarah in the first column and
the births of the children in the second column (along with others on page 2)
seem to be in the same handwriting and written at the same time.

The birth year of Joseph and Sarah is different than others I have seen.

Jesse and Sarah Drury (whose parents were Daniel Cauby and Martha Jump)
are my g-grandparents. My grandmother is Dollie Eliza Drury.

Two more children in the family (Elizabeth & Daniel) are recorded on Page 2, Column 2.

William Jump was born December the 24th 1827.
George Calhoun Jump was born July the 22th 1830.
Robert Jump was born August the 8th 1833.
Daniel Jump was born the 22 of July 1837. (this entry made at a different time)
Mary Alviry Jump was born the 11 of January 1845.
Oliver Jump was born 13 Oct 1846.

Births - Page 2, Column 2

Wm. Daniel Jump was born 7 August 1849.
Julia Ann was born March 5 1851.
Rachel Jump was born Oct 4, 1846.
Spyvy Jump born Aug 15, 1851.
Amanda J. Jump born June 7 1851.
Elizabeth Drury born August 1 1877.
Daniel Drury born Nov 17 1878.

Note: The entry for Daniel in the first column and those in the second, with
the exception of Elizabeth and Daniel, seem to be written by the same person.

Marriages  - Page 3, Column 1

Joseph Jump and Sarah Clark was married March the 17th 1814.
Jesse Reece Drury and Sarah Cauby was married [no date in Bible].
Note: Diana's research shows that Jesse and Sarah were
married September 30, 1860 in Putnam County, Missouri.

Marriages - Page 3, Column 2

James Simpson and Mary Ann Jump was married February 5th 1835.
William ? and Catharine Jump was married February ?th 1835.
Daniel Cauby and Marthy Jump was married Sept 22 1834.
Thomas Jump and Elisabeth D? was married Sept the 2 1844.

Note:  The date I [Diana] found for the marriage of
Daniel and Martha in Morgan County, Illinois was 1835.

Deaths - Page 4, Column 1

George Calhoun died January the 6th 18?
Robert Jump died May the 12th 1835.
Benjamin Cauby died August 20th 1885.
Jane Cauby died Feb 24 1939.

Deaths - Page 4, Column 2

Daniel Cauby died October 31 1879.
Patsy Cauby died March 1877.
Jesse R Drury died the 25 of March 1910.
Martha H. Working died the 25 of May 1919,
daughter of Jesse R. Drury and Sarah Drury.
Sarah D. Drury died January 1921.
