William Renneckar/Renaker

William Renneckar/Renaker, second child and oldest son of George and Frances (Juett) Renneckar/Renaker, was born December 27, 1822 in Harrison or Grant County, Kentucky, and died January 6, 1903 in Grant County. On February 1, 1847 he married Mary/Polly Hedger, daughter of Jacob and Sarah (Darrough/Darrow) Hedger. Mary was born August 14, 1824 in Harrison County and died January 10, 1911 in Grant County. Their children and grandchildren:

1. Isaac Conrad Renaker, born November 17, 1847, died September 26, 1853, both Grant County.

2. James Lewis Renaker, born October 13, 1849, died June 29, 1851, both Grant County.

3. Sarah Frances/Sallie Renaker, born September 21 1851 in Grant County, died May 30, 1944 in Harrison County, Kentucky. On May 10, 1875 she married Joseph Calvin Martin, born October 27, 1838, died June 5, 1910, both Harrison County. Their children:

(a) William Renaker, born March 22, 1876, died August 3, 1941, both Harrison County. On November 8, 1916 he married Hallie Frances Collins, born February 15, 1889, died August 18, 1972, both Harrison County.

(b) Mary Addie Lyda/Mae, born April 1, 1877 in Harrison County, died September 1952 in Scott County. In 1900 she married a cousin of Renaker descent, James Welborn Ammerman, born July 6, 1872, Harrison County, and died September 28, 1963 in Scott County, Kentucky.

(c) Calvin Joseph, born March 4, 1879, died March 15, 1967, both Harrison County. On March 14, 1907, he married a cousin of Renaker descent, Lillian Forsythe Ammerman, born September 9, 1884, died June 23, 1949, both Harrison County.

(d) Iva Dealtha, born August 31, 1880, Harrison County, died May 26, 1961, Bourbon County. On February 10, 1914 she married Thomas Charles Whaley, born June 25, 1863, died January 8, 1941, Bourbon County.

(e) Elza Case, born August 8, 1883, died March 15, 1970, both Harrison County. On March 22, 1911, he married a cousin of Renaker descent, Ann Elizabeth Ammerman, born December 31, 1888, Harrison County.

(f) Sallie Beatrice, born January 2, 1887, died April 26, 1940, both Harrison County. On March 16, 1916, she married James M. Booher who died August 31, 1931 in Harrison County; and

(g) Christina Grace, born March 17, 1890 in Harrison County, died December 16, 1949, Hamilton County, Ohio. She married Redmon Temple Berry, born December 1, 1888 in Harrison County, died March 10, 1963 in Hamilton County, Ohio.

4. Mary Ann Renaker, born August 5, 1863, Grant County, died February 16, 1926 in Harrison County. On December 1, 1869 she married a cousin of Renaker descent, Adam Juett Jr., born March 18, 1850, died December 11, 1904, both Harrison County. Their children:

(a) Thomas Edward, born November 2, 1870, died January 1, 1871.

(b) Adsona Kate/Sona, born November 2, 1871, Harrison County, died July 13, 1933, Fayette County, Kentucky. She married March 9, 1891 Arthur T. Henry, born 1863, died 1927.

(c) Margaret Pearl, born September 17, 1873, Harrison County, died August 27, 1950 in Bourbon County. She married first, December 28, 1897, a cousin of Hedger descent, Ben Frank Laughlin; married second, 1920, Lee McMillian, married third, Burgess Hughes.

(d) Ida Mae, born August 9, 1875, died March 16, 1964, both Harrison County. She married December 28, 1897 a cousin of Hedger descent, George W. Laughlin, born 1869.

(e) Joel W., born December 17, 1877, Harrison County, died April 5, 1951 in Hamilton County, Ohio. Never married.

(f) Jacob Adam, born June 1, 1880, died July 20, 167, both Harrison County. On October 30, 1900 he married a cousin of Hedger descent, Emma Laughlin.

(g) Roy D., born October 24, 1882, Harrison County, died November 12, 1967, Kimbolton, Ohio. On July 16, 1901 he married Sudie Hughes.

(h) Bettie Dealtha, born May 13, 1885, died November 14, 1927, both Harrison County. She married Frank Muntz on July 12, 1902.

(I) Collin E., born February 18, 1888, died December 23, 1899, both Harrison County; Rosa Lee, born March 6, 1890, died December 24, 1973, both Harrison County. On August 22, 1907 she married a cousin of Lemmon descent, Edgar Bowman Cason, born April 24, 1885, died February 18, 1948, both Harrison County, and

(k) Naomi, born September 28, 1892, died June 1, 1961, both Harrison County. On February 15, 1913 she married Henry Clay Bedford.

5. William Thomas Renaker, born May 17, 1855, died December 31, 1924, both Grant County. On May 3, 1882 he married first, Mary Elizabeth Jump, born may 6, 1856, died September 26, 1893; married second 1896, Minnie Davis, died January 31, 1934. Their children:

(a) Laura B., born 1885, Grant County, died December 14, 1980 in Ohio. In 1903 she married first, Al Baldwin, married second, William Reynolds who died in 1952.

(b) Walter, born 1886, Grant County, died January 16, 1957 in Boone County, Kentucky. On December 7, 1909 he married Grace Cotton.

(c) Anna, born October 26, 1889, died January 9, 1968, both Grant County. On December 13, 1909 she married Joseph M. Carter Jr., who died December 26, 1949.

(d) Mary Ila, born October 13, 1892, died November 25, 1895, both Grant County.

(e) Zetta, born 1899, died January 19, 1967, both Grant County. On December 5, 1916 she married Estill Stewart who died October 9, 1970.

6. Jacob Newton Renaker, born March 16, 1857, died June 23, 1935, both Grant County. On April 13, 1884 he married Laura Belle Cram born March 21, 1863, Pendleton County, died December 27, 1939, Grant County. Their children:

(a) Charles William, born June 24, 1885, Grant County, died November 3, 1955, Salem, Indiana. In 1907 he married Elsie Crouch, born June 20, 1891, Gallatin County, Kentucky.

(b) Raymond N., born December 16, 1886, Grant County, died December 6, 1940 in Bloomington, Indiana. On December 5, 1910 he married Anne Johnson, born 1890, died November 3, 1963, Boone County.

(c) Mary Eula, born June 4, 1890, died June 15, 1969, both Grant County. On January 26, 1910 she married a cousin of Lemmon descent, William Floyd Conrad, born December 23, 1886, Hamilton Missouri, died July 18, 1969, Grant County, and

(d) Rowena M., born November 21, 1894, Grant County, died April 27, 1977 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. On March 4, 1915, she married a cousin of Renaker descent, George Hunt Northcutt, born June 28, 1893, Harrison County, died January 3, 1975, Campbellsville,  Kentucky.

7. Jefferson Davis Renaker, born March 16, 1859, died July 7, 1939, both Grant county. On December 12, 1882 he married first, Anna L. Martin, born Mach 10, 1863, daughter of James William Martin, married second December 19, 1892, Anna Caldwell. Their children:

(a) Grover C., born November 11, 1884, Grant County, died December 2, 1956, Cincinnati, Ohio. On November 15, 1905 he married a cousin of Lemmon descent, Mary Grace Conrad, born November 4, 1885, Grant County, died March 16, 1941.

(b) Luther Davis, born January 6, 1886, Grant County, died December 4, 1960, Boone County. On September 30, 1908 he married Jennie Sletta Franks, born January 3, 1887, died April 1, 1983.

(c) Benjamin M., born December 2, 1887, died March 21, 1918, both Grant County. On August 27, 1908 he married a cousin of Lemmon descent, Martha Gruell, born July 24, 1883, died September 5, 1919.

(d) Mabel, born July 5, 1895, died May 24, 1907, both Grant County.

(e) Edith, born October 14, 1900, died January 2, 1970, both Grant County. On November 17, 1920 she married a cousin of Renaker descent, Frank Chipman, born September 23, 1893, died May 27, 1939, both Grant County; and

(f) William, born September 20, 1902, Grant County, died September 12, 1963, Kenton County, Kentucky. On February 17, 1920 he married first, Ola O'Hara, died 1926; married second February 27, 1933, Irene Nelson Conrad.

8. Dealtha Rebecca Renaker, born march 22, 1862, died June 12, 1933, both Grant County. On March 7, 1889 she married Roger Hanson Martin, born 1861 Harrison County, Kentucky, died 1951 in Grant County, son of James William Martin. Their children:

(a) William Davis, born July 26, 1891, died February 9, 1892, both Grant County.

(b) Coleman Brown, born September 3, 1892, died November 26, 1973, both Grant County. On October 21, 1915, he married Lenore Baker.

(c) J. G. C., born September 21, 1896, Grant County, died July 4, 1971 in Lexington, Kentucky. On October 11, 1916, he married Edith Tomlin, and

(d) Mary Elizabeth, born September 21, 1896, died December 9, 1976, both Grant County. On April 22, 1925 she married Abram Hedges, born February 18, 1895, died August 19, 1980.

9. Adsona Sanford Renaker, born June 10, 1865, Grant County, died February 20, 1944, Harrison County, Kentucky. On October 6, 1886 she married first, J. Morgan Martin, born 1862, died November 11, 1933; married second October 6, 1936, Roger H. Martin, born 1861, died 1951. No children.
