Kentucky Kentucky, John L. Helm, Governor of said Commonwealth.To all who shall see these Presents, Greetings, Know Ye that Louis Rice having been duly elected First Lieutenant in the 120th Regiment, 27th Brigade of Militia of this State. I hereby invest him with full power and authority to execute and discharge the duties of the same, and take rank as such from the 31st day of January 1852 and to continue in office during the time prescribed by law. In Testimony Whereof I have caused these letters to be made patent and the seal of the Commonwealth to be hereunto affixed. Done at Frankfort the 22nd day of December in the year of our Lord 1851, and the 60th year of our Commonwealth.
