Daniel Seward was born November 5, 1760. He served in the militia of Pennsylvania, Captain Isaac Sparks company in the regiment commanded by Colonel Cook in the Revolutionary War. He resided in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania when he entered the service. He was pensioned in 1834. His widow, Elizabeth (Stewart) Seward stated that she married him in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania in September 1786. Daniel Seward died in Grant County on May 16, 1846.
