Permission granted by: Rob Dump, Editor, Cedar County News ====================================================================== Cedar County News Jan. 17, 1924 Mrs. Charles Bartz Dies At Home on Sunday Well Known Resident of Beaver Creek Community Buried Today Following an illness of six weeks from diabetes and inflammatory rheumatism, Mrs. Charles Bartz, a well known resident of the Beaver Creek community passed away last Tuesday at her home there, at the age of 54 years. Mrs. Bartz was born at Yankton on October 3, 1879, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schmuck. She was married in 1903 to Charles Bartz, and is survived by her husband and two children, both of whom are now living at home. They are a boy 15 years old, and a girl, 18 years old. She was an active member of the Royal Neighbors, and was also an influence for good in the community in which she spent her life. Funeral services were held at Crofton this afternoon and were in charge of Rev. Evans, pastor of the Congregational church there. Interment was made in the Crofton Cemetery.
