Permission granted by: Rob Dump, Editor, Cedar County News ====================================================================== CEDAR COUNTY NEWS – Jan. 31, 1924 Prominent Resident of Beaver Creek dies George Huennekens, succumbs to complications of Diseases, Friday George Huennekens, one of the most prominent farmers of the Beaver Creek community passed away last Friday at his home at he age of almost 40 years; following an illness of about two months, with a complication of diseases. Mr. Huennekens was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Huennekens and was born March 9, 1875. He was always known as a man of generous ability and was very popular with all who knew him. During his last illness he was a patient sufferer. He was united in marriage to Mary Hoesing, of Menominee, who with their eight children survive him. Funeral services were held at Immaculate Conception Church at Beaver Creek. Rev. Father Shauer being in charge. Burial was in the Beaver Creek Cemetery.
