The Rev. James Mote Officiated and burial was in the Laurel Cemetery under the direction of the Wiltse Mortuary. He was born Febr. 2, 1908, in Cedar County and died Monday, Mar. 1 in a Sioux City, Ia., hospital. He was reared and resided on the same farm north of Laurel. Surviving are two sons; David of Seattle, Wash., and Thomas of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five brothers, Ralph and William of Randolph, Floyd of Wausa, Wendall of Coleridge and Ray of Hartington; three sisters Mrs. Viola McKnight of Burley, Ida., Mrs. Lucille Heitman of Laurel and Mrs. Helen Vock of Coleridge. Pallbearers were Milo Johnson, Leander Lammers, Arnold Reifenrath, Cle Karens, Geo. Wiedenfeld, and Merlin Berteloth. Cedar Co. News March 9, 1977
