NELL BURCH, 84 SUCCUMBS January 23 Mrs. Nell Burch, 84, resident of Magnet for the past 40 years died January 23 in a Sioux City hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks. She fell January 4 at her home, where she resided alone and lay unattended 24 hours before being found by a neighbor. In the fall she suffered a fractured shoulder and her death came as the result of shock from the injury. Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon, January 29 from the Christian church at Magnet with burial in the Magnet cemetery. Mrs. Burch is survived by one son Ray; three nieces, including Irene LaRue of Los Angeles, Calif., who came Tuesday to make funeral arrangements. Mr. Burch died many years ago. Mrs. Burch was born October 5, 1862 in eastern Iowa and lived during girlhood at Anamosa, IA. She was married to Loren Burch in Iowa and they came to Magnet in 1906.
