Korth ====================================================================== WANDA TRABALKA Wanda Furness was born in Crofton, NE on May 13, 1918 to Melvin and Geneva Furness. She moved with her parent to Magnet soon after she was born to a farm nine miles north of town. They later moved to a farm 1 ˝ miles north of Magnet. She graduated from Magnet High School in 1935 and attended Wayne State normal. Wanda taught in country school northeast of Magnet for three years. She roomed and boarded with Peter and Belle Lackas at the time. In 1938, Wanda moved to Los Angeles where she met and married Rudolph “George” Trabalka. Wanda and George celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1990 with a trip to Australia and New Zealand. In 1988, they moved from California to Las Vegas, NV where they were kept busy operating a mobile home park. Wanda passed away on May 18, 2002 and burial was made at the Magnet Cemetery along side of her parents and brother who died in 1931.
