Satterlee, M. F. (? - Dec 1923)
A recent copy of the Quilcene, Wash., "Quill" tells of the death of M. F. Satterlee at Yakima, Wash. Mr. Satterlee was for several years the best known newspaper man in Clark County, Wis. He was familiarly known as "Sat," and in addition to his ability to gather and write news, he had a vein of humor that was entirely his own. His paper was always filled with comical skits and droll articles. He also wrote and published in pamphlet form, a humorous story called "Lige, the Mud-hen Slayer or the Belle of the Black River Valley." For some time before leaving Neillsville he was editor of the Republican and Press. On going west about 1890, he founded the Quilcene, Quill.
