Sievert, Ferdinand (1838? - 1 JUN 1927)
Ferdinand Sievert died June 1, 1927, at the home of his grandson, George Boyer in the town of Seif, Clark County, Wis., aged 89 years. He was born in Germany, grew to manhood and was married there in 1865. He and his wife came to America about 50 years ago, living for a time at Fremont and also at Peshtigo; 42 years ago they came to Clark County and made their home thereafter with Mr. and Mrs. David Boyer, Mrs. Boyer being their daughter.
When Mr. and Mrs. Boyer moved to Neillsville three years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Sievert remained at the farm with their grandson, George Boyer.
Mr. Sievert was a quiet, home loving man and was much respected by all who knew him. He leaves his wife and four daughters: Mrs. Alvina Allen and Mrs. D. Boyer of Neillsville; Mrs. Anna Dorschner of Bowie, Arizona, and Mrs. Augusta Rex of Brillion, Wis. He leaves also 20 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. The funeral was held Saturday at Globe Lutheran Church, Rev. Motzkus officiating. Six grandsons acted as pallbearers: George Boyer, Leroy Allen, Martin Allen, Willard Allen, Norman Dorschner and Arthur Manthey; and three great-granddaughters carried flowers.
