Lovell, J.W. (20 SEP 1836 - 3 Apr 1915)
J.W. Lovell, one of the oldest residents of the town of York, Clark County, died April 3, 1915, at the home of his step-daughter, Mrs. Chas. Brooks. He was born in St. Lawrence Co., N.Y., Sept. 20, 1836. In 1865 he came to Clark County and settled in the town of York, where he has lived continuously for half a century.
He was a man of upright character, respected by all who knew him. He leaves one son, Dell Lovell of Rice Lake and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Monday, Rev. Wilson Mallory of Stevens Point officiating.
