A phone message received Sunday by N.E. Crandall from Waunakee, Wis., states that Clark Payntor, his brother-in-law, was killed Sunday morning by being struck by a train while riding in an auto. Details were not given. Mr. Payntor for some time was butter maker at the North Star Creamery in Grant, Clark County and later at Loyal. He has many friends in this locality. Mrs. Payntor is a sister of Ed Montgomery and Mrs. N.E. Crandall. Mr. Paynter was a member of the Modern Woodmen Camp in Neillsville. He leaves a wife and four children.
