Benedict, Laurel (23 JUN 1903 - 20 JUN 1916)
Laurel Benedict, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Benedict, whose accident was mentioned last week, died Wednesday from the effects of the cut in his foot. The little lad had lost so much blood before discovery of the accident that he was unable to rally. He lacked only three days of being thirteen at the time of his death.
The funeral was held Friday at the home, Rev. L.B. Colman officiating. The five grown-up sons of Mr. and Mrs. Benedict, Russell, Arthur, Harry, Murray and Marion, and their cousin Harold Huckstead acted as pallbearers.
Mr. and Mrs. Benedict and family wish to express their heart felt thanks to their neighbors and friends who gave them help and sympathy in their time of trouble and bereavement.
