Condon, Margaret (29 Jun 1837 - 22 Nov 1905)

Died, at her home in this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 1905, Mrs. Margaret Condon, aged 68 years, 4 months and 24 days.

Margaret Crowley was born at Petersboro, Ontario, Canada on Jun 29, 1837, where she was united in marriage with Michael Crowley in April 1869. Five children were born to them, of whom but two survive, and her husband, Mr. Crowley, also passing onto the great beyond in 1876. During 1881 she was united in marriage with Michael Condon, and the following year came to this village from Petersboro. Mr. Condon died here in 1886. For a number of years during her residence here, Mrs. Condon conducted a boarding house, relinquishing these duties only when age and infirmity began to tax her strength, and many wayfarers during Thorp's early days kindly remember her unselfish concern for the comfort and interest displayed at her home on their behalf.

Two children, Thomas J. Crowley of Withee, and Mrs. Ellen Hedler of the town of Reseburg, besides her brother, James Crowley of the town of Thorp, survive her.

The funeral will take place on Friday morning from St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Father Douvan officiating.
