DEC 1854 - 11 Nov 1906) Died, at his home
in the town of Reseburg, on Sunday, Nov. 11, 1906, August Pagel, of
pneumonia, aged 51 years, 10 months and 20 days. August Pagel was
born at Fahrenwalt, Germany, on Dec. 22, 1854, the youngest of a
family of six children, and came to America in 1880. After spending
a year in Manitowoc Co. he came to Clark County, Wis. and purchased
a farm in the town of Reseburg. Nov. 22, 1882 he was united in
marriage with Miss Caroline Ohlemotz of Manitowoc Co. who, besides
five children, Mary, Louis, Willie, August and Paul, survive him.
He also leaves three brothers and two sisters, all residents of
Germany. Mr. Pagel was an
honorable man, a good citizen, kind neighbor and steadfast friend,
and was several times chosen treasurer of his town. His remains were
laid to rest at one o'clock yesterday afternoon, interment taking
place in the Reseburg Cemetery, Rev. K. C. Bubeck of Cadott,
