FUNERAL SERVICES TO BE HELD FOR JOHN RUETH KILLED IN VIET NAM
Army spec. 4/C John L. Rueth, 21, Loyal, was killed in military action, Monday, March 17, in Viet Nam, according to an official announcement from Washington received here Wednesday.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Rueth, route 1, Loyal. He entered the service on April 10, 1968, and had been in Viet Nam since September 6, 1968.
Funeral services will be held today [Thursday] March 26, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal at 11 a.m. and with burial in the parish cemetery. The Myre Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He was born January 25, 1948, and graduated fron Loyal High School in 1966, and from Coleman Technical Institute at LaCrosse in 1967. He received his basic training at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and received his grade school education in the parish school.
He is survived by his parents, seven brothers and sisters, Larry, Ronald, Dick, Paul, Vicki, Kathy, and Terry; and his grandmother, Mrs. Bertha Rueth.
Another sister preceded him in death.
