Ehlert, Emil W. (1895? - 15 JAN 1954)
Emil William Ehlert, 58, 1211 8th St. So., Wis. Rapids, Wis., died suddenly Friday, Jan. 15th at 9:45 a.m., following a heart attack at his home. Mr. Ehlert had owned and operated a grocery store there for the past 17 years. He had previously owned and operated cheese factories for 13 years at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and Stanley, Wis.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Wis. Rapids, with the Rev. L. F. Schneider officiating. Burial took place in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Ehlert was born in Pella, Wis., the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Ehlert. He married Minnie Wendt at Thorp, Wis. on June 3rd, 1925.
Surviving are his wife and five children, Laird of Hinsdale, Ill.; Mrs. Carl Bloedel, Minneapolis; Joy, Chicago; Emil Jr., Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; and David at home. Also two sisters, Mrs. Gust Wege, Norrie, Wis., and Mrs. Frank Radke, Milwaukee; and one brother, August Ehlert (Wendt?) of Thorp, and three grandchildren.
