Hill, Ida (14 SEP 1883 - 4 OCT 1955)
Death came quietly to Mrs. Ida Hill, 72, at her home in the city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1955, when she succumbed to a heart condition. She was 72 years of age, having been born Sept. 14, 1883, in Finland.
Friends may call tonight at Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home where her body is lying in state. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at two o’clock from Bethany Lutheran Church, Owen. Rev. J. Saarinen will officiate with burial being made at Riverside Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Elmer Venet, Frank Stone, John Kujala, Kauno Niemi, Yelmer Heikkinen, and Frank Luoma. In charge of the floral offerings will be Winnie Venet, Mary Maki, Elsie Zelinas and Lilly Kile.
The deceased, nee Ida Kangas came to America when a young lady of 20 years and two years later was united in marriage to her husband, the late Walter Hill, who preceded her in death in 1924. The couple first made their home at Hubbell, Mich., living there until 1919 when they moved to a farm north of Withee.
Survivors are a brother, Charles of Withee; sons, Carl, Withee; Benhardt and Rueben, Owen; Everett of Pine City, Minn.; a daughter, Senia Craig, Prescott, Arizona, and seven grandchildren.
