Funeral services for Mrs. Glenn Haven, 91, Neillsville, were conducted Saturday afternoon from the Bergemann Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank B. Harcey of the United Church officiated, and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. She died Wednesday following a long illness.
Mrs. Haven, the former Jennie May Dean, was born February 22, 1868, in Waverly, Ia., the daughter of the late John and Angeline Dean. She worked as a seamstress in Waterloo, Ia., until she moved to Marengo, Ill. In 1916 she was married to the late Glenn Haven at Marengo and in 1919 they came to Clark County and settled on a farm in the Town of Weston, where they farmed until moving to Neillsville in 1933. Mr. Haven preceded her in death in 1949, and her only son, E. J. Roberts, in 1957.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. E. J. Roberts of Neillsville; and two grandsons, John and Glenn Roberts, both of Neillsville. Six great-grandchildren also survive, as does a sister, Mrs. Frank (Grace) Doherty of Waterloo, Ia.
