James Connelly AFB, Texas – Martin J. Zickert of Greenwood (Clark Co.), Wisconsin, has been commissioned a United States Air Force Second Lieutenant and awarded silver wings following his graduation from navigator training here.
Lieutenant Zickert received instruction in radar and celestial navigation during the course. He is being reassigned to K.I. Sawyer AFB, Michigan, for duty as a navigator.
The lieutenant is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin C. Zickert of R.R. 2, Greenwood, and is a graduate of Greenwood High School. He attended Concordia College at St. Paul, Minn., and Eau Claire (Wis.) State College.
