Wild, John H. (22 MAR 1921 - 30 AUG 2016)
John H. Wild, age 70, of W6844 County Road A, Medford, passed away on Tuesday,
August 30 at the VA Hospital, Madison, where he had been a patient for the past
3 weeks.
A memorial gathering will take place from 1 - 4 PM on Saturday, September 3 at
the Medford VFW Clubhouse. Interment will take place at the Northern Wisconsin
Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner, WI.
John was born on April 21, 1946 at Medford, to Henry H. and Esther (Kaemmerer)
Wild.
He was educated in the Town of Little Black elementary school and attended
Medford High School. He later received his GED. John was previously married and
divorced.
John was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. After the military he worked road
construction for James Peterson & Sons and Jochimsen Trucking for periods of
time until his retirement in 2008. He enjoyed gardening, yard work and auto body
work. He was a member of the Medford VFW.
He is survived by his children, Angel Wild of Medford, Johnny Wild of Rib Lake
and 3 other children; sibling, Galen “Gus” Wild of Medford; and his mother,
Esther (Kaemmerer) Wild of Medford.
John is predeceased by his father, Henry H. Wild.
