A Memorial Day program will be held on Tuesday, May 30th at 11 a.m. sharp at the
Curtiss Park. The program includes the Abbotsford High School Band; Owen Color
Guard; Rev. Roger Tellock will deliver the address, and immediately after the
Color Guard will visit the Evangelical Lutheran and Pine Hill Cemeteries to pay
tribute to servicemen buried there.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Thompson returned home Monday from a visit with their
son-in0law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Sorensen and family of Appleton,
and with their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Graham and sons at DeKalb, Ill. On
Sunday they attended the confirmation of their grandson, Paul Graham.
Mr. and Mrs. Cornel Erickson are visiting at the home of their son, Mr. and Mrs.
Norman Erickson at Stoughton this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Augustine drove to Minneapolis on Sunday morning, and their
daughter Judy, a student at the Minneapolis Business College, returned home to
spend the summer months with them.
Mrs. Elizabeth Buss and Mrs. John Burtard spent the weekend visiting rleatives
at West Bend.
Franklin Peissig and Neil Green left Thursday for Atikokan, Canada, on a fishing
trip. They returned home Sunday evening with a good catch of walleyed pike.
While they were fishing they were joined by Clyde Peissig and a friend from
Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Mrs. Glen Schaus and Miss Donna Gustafson of Kaukauna were Friday overnight
guests at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Johnson.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Schmidt of Beaver Dam and Mrs. Elsie Steele of Abbotsford,
were Sunday guests at the Ray Kobs home.
Mr. and Mrs. DeLos Schiszik and sons of Berwyn, Ill. were weekend guests at the
home of his mother, Mrs. Ida Schiszik. On Sunday they drove to Lublin, where
Mrs. DeLos Schiszik's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Knetko celebrated their Golden
Wedding anniversary. Guestss from here who attended the celebration were Mrs.
Amanda Borgemoen, Mrs. Ida Schiszik and Lionel, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Schiszik and
family, and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Borgemoen and family, all of Curtiss.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Rosenquist and Joanne of Waukegan, Ill. were weekend guests
at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schultz, Mrs. Anna
ton, and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Kuegler.
Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Long are visiting their son, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Long Jr.
and family at Manitowoc this week.
