Joyce Brehm, an eighth grade student at the Colby Junior High School, and the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Brehm of Colby, won the spelling contest held
at Neillsville Thursday, April 24, 1969. This was the regional contest for
Marathon, Clark and Wood Counties. She represented this region at the state
contest in Madison Saturday, May 3.
