Sciezor, Dolores (17 AUG 1968)
Matrimonial vows were exchanged Saturday, August 17, 1968 in St. Stanislaus
Roman Catholic Church, Lublin (Taylor Co., Wis.), by Dolores Sciezor, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Sciezor, Lublin, and Bernard Franckiewicz, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Rudolph Franckiewicz, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). Rev. Norbert West officiated
at the 3 p.m. ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a floor length gown fashioned
with a rosepoint lace bodice, featuring long tapered sleeves and a Sabrina
neckline. The A-line skirt, accented by an insert of peau taffeta, was
highlighted by a detachable chapel length train. Her bouffant veil of sheer
illusion was caught to a floral cluster. She carried a cascade bouquet of white
roses centered with a white orchid.
Miss Gloria Bonczkiewicz, Milwaukee, attended her aunt as maid of honor, and the
brides maid was Mrs. Tom Preston, Chicago, the groom's sister.
Frills of white nylon lace made up the long sleeved bodices with stand up
collars and the floor length A-line skirts were of lemon yellow karate.
Contrasting avocado satin sashes accented the waistlines. Completing their
ensembles were avocado satin bow headpieces with layers of net and yellow peau
de soie shoes. Each held a colonial bouquet of yellow and white carnations with
avocado streamers.
Attending the groom was Tom Preston, Chicago, the groom's brother-in-law.
A reception followed at the home of the bride's parents and the supper was
served at the church hall. Among the 175 guests present were relatives and
friends attending from Milwaukee, Madison, Eau Claire, Altoona, Holcombe,
Cornell, Stanley, Gilman, Chicago, S. St. Paul and St. Paul.
